Cloverfield: Great movie for thoes who don't get motion sickness!

I went to see Cloverfield this weekend, and I really think it was worth the $6.50, I am however having some buyers remorse over the soda, pop corn and sour gummie something or other. Over priced junk food aside, this was a fun flick. Don't go expecting your life to somehow be enriched when you leave just go and enjoy things blow up. After the reggetable Godzilla attacking New York, I was worried the movie would
be a little cheesy, after I herd about the "Blair Witch" style of filming, I got really worried. But if you can stomach the constant moving camera I recommend seeing this one in the theater, I don't think it will have the same effect at home, save for the top of the line home theater.

But please be warned, if you get car sick your gonna wanna sit this one out. A friend of mine got a call while we were outside the theater, with one of his friends in Pennsylvania saying some poor guy lost his popcorn in the seat next to him.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about check out the trailer below.

Is this guy ok? I'm not sure...

...I think he might be crazy.

Far be it from me to ever question another person's spirituality,
but for being a high payed actor, Tom Cruise acts out his PSA like a scene from Reefer Madness.

I am glad that someone will stop to help after an accident, or at least say they could have while riding by... wait what!?

Romero's Diary of the Dead Trailer!

I love Zombie movies, I know, I know, everybody loves Zombie movies! Now when it comes to Zombie movies it just doesn't get any better than George A. Romero! I'll be honest I wasn't crazy about Land of the Dead, it had some great moments, but I feelt it lacked the usual impending doom and real survival horror elements which I have come to expect from the master(Romero) of the Living Dead. It looks like Romero is back to the beginning again with a great breakout story.(how the Zombies come to be) This looks like a fresh direction on an old genera. I think we need some new ideas in zombie movies, not to say it's all been done, but most of it has. I enjoyed both 28 days and weeks later, but am looking forward to Romero returning to his humble budget roots.

Check out the trailer below, Romero also opens up a contest to all would be Horror directors, and when your donr check out Romero's filmorgaphy at IMDB HERE

American Gladiators: Good Show, Bad Sports?

I don't know how many of you tuned in to American Gladiators on Sunday or Monday, but over all I give the show a big thumbs up!

In the spirit of objectivity I must admit to loving the show as a kid, and the new version lives up to all the excitement of the original. The added bonus of the fall into water instead of matts for a defeted contestand or Gladiator amps up the fun factor and percived shame of the plunge.
The new events are fun too, but I'm glad to see most of my favorites return, the more Joust and Assult, the better!

The one big complaint I have is with the Gladiators themselves, actually just the male Gladiators.
First, these new gladitors seem real corny, I am a lot older now so mabie the Gladiators were always corny, but a howling Wolfe is just taking things too far. But my real complaint is the male Gladiator seem to be really bad sports taking way to many cheap shots. The women seem to be much better behaved . I under stand and appriciate smake talk but cheating, or being a sore looser (pushing the contestant when he beat you at Joust, whats that!?) just seems to make them look like punks.

But what do I know? Check out the embeded episodes below or go sign up at Hulu.com
